About Bilona A2 Desi Ghee

Bilona ghee is made the old way. Whole milk from our desi cows is boiled and set into curd, which is churned with a wooden bilona to separate makkhan (butter). The makkhan is slowly heated until the moisture goes and the ghee turns golden and grainy.

It takes about 25–30 litres of milk to make one kilogram of bilona ghee, which is why it costs more than cream-based ghee — and why it smells and tastes so different.

Why choose it

  • Made from curd, not cream
  • Hand-churned with a wooden bilona
  • Danedar (grainy) texture, rich aroma
  • Packed in glass jars
